Project Description

Sorrow Tears and Blood is a studio project by the Nigerian Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti and it was released in 1977. It is published under Knitting Factory Records. The title track depicts a story of abuse of Nigerian citizens by the police and army under the then military regime. It is followed by a 2nd track which paints a different picture entirely, addressing Nigerians (or Africans) who were yet to emancipate themselves from their "self imposed" shackles of colonialism.
